Condenser Microphones buying guides

Condenser microphones pick up fine detail and are common in studios for vocals and acoustic instruments. The best condenser microphones need phantom power, a small voltage sent by an audio interface, unless they're USB. They're also sensitive, so they can pick up room noise. Check the diaphragm size and pickup pattern. Quiet rooms bring out their strengths.

We haven't published a Condenser Microphones guide yet. We only publish a guide once the research behind it is done.
