Wired earbuds skip batteries and Bluetooth, so they never need charging and have no sound delay. The best wired earbuds have a plug that fits your phone or laptop, which may be a 3.5mm jack, USB-C or Lightning. Check for an in-line mic and buttons for calls. Cable strength matters, so look for a tangle-resistant, reinforced one. Simple and cheap to replace.
