Camera Tripods buying guides

Camera tripods are made to hold a camera and lens without sag or wobble. Match the tripod to your gear weight, then add some room. Aluminum is cheaper and heavier, while carbon fiber is lighter but costs more. Twist locks and flip locks both work, so choose the one you find easier. Think about height, since stooping at a low tripod gets old quickly.

We haven't published a Camera Tripods guide yet. We only publish a guide once the research behind it is done.
