Ableton controllers are pads, knobs and keys that run Ableton Live, a music-making program. Think about what you want to do. Pad grids suit beats and launching clips, while keys suit playing melodies. Check that the controller is made to work with Ableton Live, so the controls match the screen with little setup. Size matters on a small desk.
