Mechanical Keyboards buying guides
Mechanical keyboards put a separate switch under every key, which gives a distinct feel and sound. Switch type is the big decision. Linear switches feel smooth, tactile ones have a small bump, and clicky ones make a loud snap. Hot-swappable boards let you change switches later without soldering. Size and noise matter if you share a room or office.
We haven't published a Mechanical Keyboards guide yet. We only publish a guide once the research behind it is done.
