Heat Pump Thermostats buying guides
Heat pump thermostats are made for systems that heat and cool differently than a regular furnace. Look for one that lists heat pump support and handles a reversing valve, which switches between heat and cool. Some also manage backup heat, so the costly extra heat doesn't kick in too often.
